WHAT IS A MASTERCLASS?
A masterclass is when a group of people gather together to learn from a “master” in their field – someone that has way more experience than you so you can grow in your craft. Some masterclasses are more like discussions, while others are more hands-on, including performances from some participants. Ours are usually a mixture of both!
PERFORMING vs. OBSERVING (in a masterclass)
Students may choose to participate by observing or performing in a masterclass. All students can participate in a discussion-based masterclass.
There will be a limited number of performance slots available for students wishing to receive feedback on their performance for an additional amount. If there is a lot of interest to perform, I will try to work out an additional masterclass to attempt to accommodate everyone, or I will help to select the performers.
Whether you choose to observe or are chosen to perform, you are sure to take away some valuable information from these guest artists.
WHAT IS A WORKSHOP?
A Workshop is a time when a professional comes to lead a discussion or a lesson. This type of opportunity will provide lots of information and practical application that will help you develop a specific skill.
